Students - There are 3 "One Steps" for every belt level. One steps are pre-arranged combinations utilizing TKD stances, hand & foot techniques demonstrated against a cooperative partner. Focus, control, execution of technique, balance, distancing & understanding are the benefits of learning the one steps.
9th Gup White Belt One Steps
1. Left foot steps forward into left front stance, left inner forearm block. Left knifehand strike to high section. Right reverse punch to mid section. Left foot steps back into parallel stance. Right foot steps back into left front stance, left low block. KIHAP.
2. Right foot steps forward into side middle stance, right inner forearm block. Right #1 side kick. Right foot steps down into side middle stance, right knifehand strike to high section. Right foot steps back clockwise into left front stance, left low black. KIHAP.
3. Right #1 front kick. Right foot steps down to right, 45 degrees, into middle stance, right punch to mid section. Left punch to mid section. Right punch to high section. Right foot steps back clockwise into left front stance, left low block. KIHAP.
8th Gup Low Yellow Belt One Steps
1. Left foot steps forward into left front stance, left high block. Right reverse punch to mid section. Left punch to mid section. Left #1 side kick, stepping down to right foot. Right foot steps back into right back stance, left double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
2. Left foot steps forward into right back stance, left square block. Left backfist to high section. Right foot steps to right 45 degrees into right front stance. Left #2 round kick, stepping down to right foot. Right foot steps back into right back stance, left double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
3. Right foot steps forward into left back stance, right double knifehand block. Left foot steps 45 degrees into left front stance. Right #2 round kick. Right foot steps down into left back stance, right knifehand strike to high section. Right foot steps to left foot. Left foot steps back into left back stance, right double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
7th Gup High Yellow Belt One Steps
1. Left outer crescent kick to block punch. Left foot steps down counter clockwise into left back stance, right #3 jump front kick. Right foot steps down into left back stance, right back-fist to high section. Right foot steps into right front stance, left reverse punch to mid section. Right foot steps to left foot. Left foot steps back into left back stance, right double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
2. Right foot steps to right 45 degrees into right front stance, left reverse double knifehand block. Left #2 front kick. Left foot steps down into left front stance, right reverse horizontal spear-hand to high section. Left horizontal spear-hand to high section. Left #1 round kick, stepping down to right foot. Right foot steps back 45 degrees into right back stance, left double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
3. Left foot steps to left 45 degrees into left front stance, right reverse outer forearm block. Without stepping, shift clockwise into middle stance. Left punch to mid section. Right punch to mid section. Right #1 outer crescent kick, stepping back into side middle stance. Left #3 side kick, stepping down to right foot. Right foot steps back 45 degrees into right back stance, left double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
6th Gup Low Green Belt One Steps
1. Left foot steps forward into right back stance, left double outer forearm block. Left backfist to high section. Left foot steps into left front stance, right reverse punch to mid section. Left foot steps back counter clockwise into side middle stance, right #1 side kick. Right foot steps down into side parallel stance, right #1 jump side kick. Right foot steps to left foot. Left foot steps back into left back stance, right double outer forearm black. KIHAP.
2. Right foot steps to right 45 degrees into right front stance. Left reverse double knifehand block. Left #2 round kick. Left foot steps down into right back stance, left knifehand strike to high section. Left foot steps clockwise to right foot with your back to opponent. Right reverse side kick, stepping down to left foot. Left foot steps back 45 degrees into left back stance, right double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
3. Left foot steps left 45 degrees into left front stance, right reverse circular inner forearm block. Right #2 side kick, stepping down counter clockwise to left foot with your back to opponent. Left reverse side kick. Left foot steps down into right back stance, left backfist to high section. Left foot steps to right foot. Right foot steps back 45 degrees into right back stance, left double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
5th Gup High Green Belt One Steps
1. Left foot steps forward into right back stance, left knifehand square block. Left knifehand strike to high section. Left foot steps into left front stance, right reverse ridgehand strike to high section. Left foot steps back counter clockwise to right foot into side stance, right #1 side kick. In continuous motion, right side kick. Right foot steps down to left foot. Left foot steps back into left back stance, right double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
2. Left inner crescent kick to block punch, stepping down (turning clockwise) to right foot with your back to opponent. Right spin outer crescent kick, stepping down into right back stance. Left #3 jump front kick, stepping down into right back stance. Left knifehand strike to high section. Left foot steps into left front stance, right reverse horizontal spearhand to high section. Left foot steps to right foot. Right foot steps back into right back stance, left double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
3. Left foot steps into left front stance, left outer forearm block. Right reverse punch to mid section. Left punch to mid section. Right reverse horizontal elbow strike to mid section Left foot steps back counter clockwise into left back stance, Right #1 front kick, stepping down into left back stance. Right #3 jump round kick. Right foot steps to left foot. Left foot steps back into left back stance, right double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
4th Gup Low Blue Belt One Steps
1. Right foot steps right 45 degrees to right. At the same time, swing left arm upward counter clockwise over top of opponents arm, encircling upper arm, then bring left hand underneath trapping arm. Right reverse palm strike to high section. Hook right hand around right side of opponents neck. Pull head down, right knee kick to high section. Right downward elbow to back of head. Release hold and step back with right foot into side parallel stance. Left #1 side kick, stepping down to right foot. Right foot steps back into right back stance, left double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
2. Right foot steps right 45 degrees into right front stance, left reverse hooking block/grab. Left #2 front knee kick to low or mid section. Left foot steps back, continuing wrist grab. Right foot steps into side middle stance, right back elbow to high section. right back elbow to mid section. Lift opponents wrist upward, right foot steps under arm counter clockwise into left front stance. At the same time, apply right hand to wrist grab (turning wrist clockwise), forcing opponent downward, right #2 front kick. Right foot steps to left foot. Left foot steps back into left back stance, right double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
3. Left foot steps left 45 degrees into left front stance, right reverse hooking block/grab. Right #2 side kick to mid section, stepping down (facing opponent) into right front stance. Left reverse palm strike to high section. Left foot steps behind opponents right leg. Continue grab, turning opponents palm upward. Place left arm over top of opponents upper arm, then place your forearm under elbow joint. Grab lapel of your uniform. Tighten your hold, lift upward with your left arm, and at the same time apply downward pressure on wrist grab to damage or break elbow, Release hold with left arm, continuing wrist grab with right hand. Pull opponent forward and at the same time, left back elbow to high section. Left foot steps back into left back stance, right double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
3rd Gup High Blue Belt One Steps
1. Left foot steps back into right front stance, knifehand X-block to high section. Left foot steps to left 45 degrees into left front stance, right wrist grab. Right #2 front kick to mid section. Right foot steps down into right front stance, left reverse back fist to high section. Continue wrist grab, then grab shoulder sleeve with left hand. Left arch sweep to back of opponents right leg. Left foot steps back to left, turning counter clockwise into left low front stance. Release hold, right downward punch to mid section. Left foot step back into left back stance, right double outer forearm black. KIHAP.
2. Right Foot steps to right 45 degrees into right front stance, left reverse knifehand block/grab. Left #2 round kick to mid section. Left foot steps down into left front stance, right reverse horizontal spearhand to high section. Grab opponents collar behind neck with both hands. Left foot steps back one stance length. Right foot steps back one stance length into left low front stance. at the same times, pulling opponent to floor. Right downward reverse palm strike to high section. Left foot steps back into left back stance, right double outer forearm block. KIHAP.
3. Left foot steps to left 45 degrees into left front stance, right reverse knifehand block/grab. Right #2 side kick to mid section. Right foot steps down into right front stance, left reverse punch to high section. Turn counter clockwise into left front stance. Right hook sweep to opponents right leg, stepping back into left front stance. Left #1 side kick to high section. Left foot steps down to right foot. Right foot steps back into right back stance, left outer forearm block. KIHAP
