H.T.F.  INNER SCHOOL TOURNAMENT - OCT, 7TH, 2006

The U.S.A. Moo Sool Association had 2 students compete in this years inner school tournament held Saturday, October 7th in Lynnwood, WA.  Competing in their respective age divisions we had Jayden Stone compete in the Green Belt Free Sparring division and take home 2nd place in fighting and first place in the Green Belt Board Breaking division.  Way to go Jayden!  This was his first tournament and he preformed well even under the nervous jitters that faces us all when we do something for the first time!  Also competing was Trent Yamada from our Seattle / Bellevue school.  He competed for his second time, this time competing in the low Red Belt division in both Sparring & Boarding Breaking.   Trent took 3rd place in fighting and received a perfect score in the board breaking division beating out several top competitors to take first place.  Mr. Jay attended and was judging forms & fighting along with about 20 other senior black belts who also attended from various H.T.F. schools from the area. Good job everyone!  Hard training pays off!

4 Medals - 2 Competitors

Jayden Stone - Seattle/Bellevue - 1st Place Green Belt Boarding Breaking & 2nd Place Green Belt Fighting.

Trent Yamada - Seattle/Bellevue - 1st Place Red Belt Board Breaking & 3rd Place Red Belt Fighting.

H.T.F. INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT June, 24, 2006  Results!

The U.S.A. Moo Sool Association had  a total of 14 competitors in this years Hwa-Rang Taekwondo Federation International tournament held June 24, 2006 in Edmonds, Washington.  For many of our students this was their first martial arts tournament.  All of our students did an outstanding job!  Our students competed in weapons, forms, sparring & board breaking!  Ages ranged from 5 years to 38 years old.  A special "Congratulations" to Trent Yamada who took advantage of special training offered by Mr. Jay.  Trent worked extra hard to prepare for this event and took 1st Place in Board Breaking by doing a perfect flying side kick thru the boards to take the win.  Trent also took 1st place in padded weapons and fought with good fighting spirit.  "With great sacrifices come great rewards"  Our students showed that the training, focus and hard work pays off and Mr. Jay & Mr. Fortner received several positive comments on their students performance.  Everyone who competed should be very proud of themselves.  It takes a lot of guts & nerve to perform in front of others!  We think we got everyone listed correctly  If we made a mistake please email us.
