Ultimate Self Defense & Awareness - For Women, Men & Children

While earning a black belt tips the scale in your favor for surviving a street encounter, it is not necessary to have a black belt in order to be able to defend yourself with proper techniques, power & mental conditioning. However it does take longer than an one day seminar or a 8 hour class. We recommend at least 6 months to 1 year of training in order to be able to build what we call instinctive muscle memory & a strong mental attitude to be able to defend yourself with confidence. A lot of students start martial arts training with the goal of being able to defend themselves or handle themselves correctly under a threatening & dangerous street encounter. Every one of our martial art classes has this focus in mind. We focus more on reality based self defense in our class and less on the fancy & flashy techniques that are often forgotten under the pressure of a real street attack. In both our Taekwondo & Filipino Martial Arts class we cover defenses against: grabs, choking, punching, ground defense, kicking, distancing & weapon attacks. We also cover the psychological make up of the attack and how to overcome fear and survive whatever threat may come your way.
